Gas Mixture Type

Through attention to detail, state of the art technology, and customer support, RBG and specialist in Mixture manufacturer delivers gas mixture of uncompromising quality for each individual’s application. As the possible combination of gases which can be mixed is endless, the following section details only the more commonly used gas mixtures. Our technical staff will be pleased to assist you with your specific requirement.

Types of Gas Mixtures Available

Primary Standard

These mixtures are prepared on a high load, high sensitivity analytical balance. The gas is weighed into the cylinder using a balance which has been calibrated with weights which are certified traceable. Each component of the mixtures are then confirmed using appropriate analytical methodology.

EPA Protocol Gas Mixture

These mixtures are prepared in conformance to the Environment Protection Agency’s document entitled. EPA Protocol Gas Mixtures are available for certain concentrations of CO2, O2, C3H8, CO, NO, NO2, SO2 and H2S in Air or N2. Mixtures prepared by this method are certified to be directly traceable to the NIST.

Certified Standard

Also known as “Analyzed Standards”, these mixtures are prepared by a variety of gravimetric, volumetric and partial pressure techniques. These mixtures are then analyzed versus Primary Standard Gas Mixtures or NIST reference materials to ensure conformance to specifications.

Batch Analyzed Mixtures

These mixtures are made by the same techniques as certified standards. Instead of analyzing each cylinder for minor component concentration, a representative number of cylinders from each batch is analyzed. The other cylinders in the batch are expected to be similar in concentration to those analyzed.
